PPM at 92% for period 5
National train performance is now at 92%, figures from Network Rail show. This covers period 5, from July 22 to August 18 and compares to 92.3% for the same period last year.
The moving annual average (MAA) is now at 91.6%.
The best performing franchise this period was c2c Rail, with 97.4%. c2c Rail has also achieved the highest MAA at 97.1%.
The franchise which performed worst this period was Arriva Trains Wales, which Network Rail suggested was affected by a landslip.
The poorest MAA is now Virgin Trains, at 85.5%.
