‘At least 10’ train doors left wide open whilst in motion on Jubilee Line

Commuters were treated to a fresh breeze on Saturday when a Tube user posted a startling video of a Jubilee Line train running with its doors left open.

Rory Brown was travelling on the line near Finchley Road at a considerable pace when the video was filmed. Brown added in a later tweet that there were “at least 10” different doors open along one side whilst the train was moving.

Responding to Brown on Twitter, TfL said it was “made aware of this yesterday and the train was taken out of service and currently under investigation.” The organisation apologised for the inconvenience caused.

No passengers were hurt in the incident.

In a separate statement, Nigel Holness, network operations director for London Underground, said: “The safety of our customers and staff is our top priority. On Saturday at around 9am we were alerted to some of the doors on a Jubilee train remaining open for one stop between Finchley Road and West Hampstead.

“The train was immediately taken out of service at West Hampstead and a full investigation is underway to understand how this occurred.”
