Three people killed in separate incidents on British tracks
Two people have died in separate incidents after being struck by trains on the railways yesterday.
The first incident occurred at 10:28am when officers were called to Kenilworth Station following reports that a person had been struck by a train.
A statement from the British Transport Police (BTP) said: “Officers attended alongside paramedics. However, a person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.”
Officers are now working to identify the person and inform their family.
The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
The second incident occurred at 2:28pm when officers were called to the railway lines close to Blisworth, Northampton, after reports that a person had been struck by a train.
Officers attended the location alongside paramedics, however a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

A third person was killed at 4:54pm yesterday in a separate incident.
A statement from the BTP said: “Officers were called to the line close to Faygate, Horsham at 4.54pm on Wednesday 29 August, following a report that a person had been struck by a train.
“Officers from BTP attended the location alongside paramedics, however a 38-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and their family has been informed.”
