Terry Johnson triumphs again!
A ticket office clerk at a South West Trains’ station has been recognised, for the second time this year, for the outstanding customer service he delivers on a daily basis.
Terry Johnson has been invited to attend a lunch with the members of the Rotary Club of Guildford. This is when he will be presented with an award for outstanding customer service.
Guildford can’t get enough of Terry as he recently scooped the Outstanding Customer Service title at the Guildford Life with Style Awards. The Rotary Club of Guildford were made aware of this and the level of service Terry provides and decided to present him with a Community Service Award.
Terry, 42, has been on the railway for 20 years and has worked in the ticket office at London Road Guildford since 1993.
Passengers always remark on Terry’s fantastic customer service one of the comments made about Terry said: “He makes obtaining train tickets a pleasure! He is the ever-friendly face…. Terry always has time to deal with your requests and goes beyond what you ask.” Another passenger said: “His personable, efficient manner is not reserved to those he sees on a regular basis but to everyone fortunate enough to be served by him! Terry is a gem!”
Matthew Winnie, South West Trains’ Area Manager, said: “I am extremely proud that Terry is being rewarded for the outstanding attitude he has towards his job. Terry is clearly loved by passengers travelling from London Road (Guildford) and really does deliver a first-class service everyday.”
Terry Johnson and Alison Reynolds, South West Trains’ Station Manager, will be at the Holiday Inn Eggerton Road, Guildford on Monday 23 February to receive this award.
