Clear drains, clear track

When the rail industry has drainage problems, Complete Drain Clearance have the answers. Formed over nine years ago, they have developed into the rail industry’s ‘best of breed’ drainage trouble shooter. Fully Link-up and third rail approved, the drainage specialists have a fleet of road/rail Vactor and high pressure water jetting units for almost any situation which requires their use on railway infrastructure. Staff are fully trained for all situations including confined spaces and are experts at operating the machinery required to get the job done and have a vast knowledge of the rail way drainage system. Alun Davies, the company’s managing director, believes that they are number one at clearing drains, removing wet beds and clearing cable ducts.

As testament to the innovative, forward thinking minds which drive the business on, one of the newest additions to this fleet was built at the company’s own works under the supervision of operations manager, Peter Shenton. The new Vactor and jetting vehicle has a 4x4 Daf chassis with a 3500 cfm air mover and a high pressure pump which administers 1500 lbs per square inch at 40gpm. The water tank on the unit itself holds 850 gallons for when the jetting is required and a huge 4 tons of ballast can be held in the waste tanks.

Maximising the use of track possessions is an issue many of our readers will be familiar with, and this has been considered in the companies fleet. On and off tracking takes only a few minutes allowing the work to be done quickly, and effectively, and this helps to explains why the company’s customer base is so loyal. With a proven track record, a modern and well maintained fleet, and staff who know drains inside out, you know who to call.
