More choice equals more rail jobs
There was great news for rail job seekers today with the announcement that Great North Eastern Rail are set to make
a comeback, along with a sister company, Great North Western Railway.
The story broke alongside the announcement that many
extra train operators could soon be joining the rail market.
If the return of GNER and the start up of GNWR, along with the o ther new rail operators, is a success, it will mean that there will be a myriad of rail vacancies appearing
throughout Britain.
These will include depot jobs, engineering jobs and
customer services jobs to name a few.
The idea of opening up different places in Britain to rail is
also exciting news; this means that more people will be turned onto using rail and this can only be for the good.
It is better for the economy, better for rail jobs and better for the environment.
It will also be healthy for the big train operators to have a bit of extra competition too.
