With unprecedented passenger numbers in rail, competitions such as those run by the EIT will be essential to provide quality customer service.
Operators must ensure they take care of their passengers, encouraging them to keep travelling by rail and to spread the word.
With journey numbers growing on community rail as well, these partnerships must work to keep their passengers happy. Rail should be built around the needs of the passenger, but this priority can often get lost in other imperatives.
