BTP seek indecent assault teenager

The British Transport Police are looking to speak to a young man (pictured) of around 15-16 years of age, following an accusation by a fellow passenger that he indecently assaulted her.

The boy began talking to the woman whilst travelling on a train between Liverpool Central and Southport. According to the woman, who is 63, he then made sexual advances towards her.

PC Philip Shaw, one of BTP’s investigating officers, said: “Behaviour such as this is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by BTP. The female passenger who witnessed the incident was left feeling extremely upset and distressed.

“I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image to contact BTP immediately.”
