BTPA board members appointed

Five new board members have been appointed to the British Transport Police Authority, rail minister Simon Burns has announced.

Stella Thomas will represent the interests of Welsh passengers, Catherine Crawford will represent those travelling by rail, and Andrew Pollins, Dominic Booth and Mark Phillips will represent the interests of service providers.

The new members will take up their appointments from September for an initial term of four years.

Burns said: “The calibre of these new appointments is extremely high and I look forward to seeing them bolster the work of the Authority, particularly when representing those rail passengers.”
