2nd Annual Scottish Rail Conference in association with Network Rail

Rail in Scotland and the Next Five Years of Investment:
The Network Rail Delivery Plan 2009 to 2014”

Keynote Speakers: Stewart Stevenson MSP, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Climate Change

Ron McAulay, Director Scotland, Network Rail

Further speakers to be announced

A one day conference on 6th May 2009, Caledonian Hotel, Edinburgh

The second year of this annual event builds upon 2008’s highly successful first rail conference and is themed around the forward investment plans of Network Rail.

This conference will discuss and address opportunities for investment and delivery, the need for partnership in projects and the role and challenges for rail investment. This year’s agenda provides an excellent opportunity to understand future rail developments and the extensive opportunities around rail development projects. It brings together the Minister, senior executives and major rail clients and partners to discuss where and how future projects and spend will take place.

The conference is the premier opportunity in the conference calendar to understand Network Rail’s future spending plans and to engage with key stakeholders across the Scottish rail industry. If you want to know how rail investment and policy will unfold in the 2009 to 2014 period, which projects will be prioritised and how Network Rail sees its investment plan dovetailing with wider transport policy and projects then this conference is the place to be.

Featuring a range of senior speakers and representatives from across the industry, this conference will be a focal point for understanding and discussing the next five years of rail spending.
