Slips, trips and falls
Stations across the country are tackling the problem of slips, trips and falls.
Austin Reynolds Ltd has recently installed its fibreglass slip resistant stair treads and landing covers to more than 40 train stations, with orders for a further 18 stations.
SurfaceGrip treads were fitted to various pedestrian staircases and over bridges. The fibreglass profiles which contain a slip resistant carbon grit top surface are ideal for heavy traffic environments and can be installed on to any type of step or walkway.
With 55mm contrasting coloured nosing, their product conforms to current DDA and building regulations legislation.
Austin Reynolds offer a full nationwide installation service using PTS trained operatives. In most cases, they can install during off peak hours without the need for station shut down or costly night works.
