DLR’s ‘phenomenal’ performance smashes record

The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) has just achieved the highest-ever scores for punctuality and performance in its 26-year history.

During the 5 January to 1 February period, 99.67% of trains were on time, and only 0.23% of scheduled services were not run.

DLR director at Transport for London, Rory O’Neill said: “The DLR continues to deliver to its passengers one of the most reliable and punctual rail services in Britain. This performance was made possible by a continuous and sustained effort by all staff and we will continue to strive to improve performance even further.”

Serco Docklands managing director, Kevin Thomas, added: “This is a phenomenal result and a true demonstration of our commitment to making every journey matter for DLR’s passengers.”
