Haulage company First GBRf have set a fine example to others in the rail industry by making a large donation to the Help for Heroes charity.
The company has raised the money by holding lots of sponsored events, including ‘Top Gear’ style sponsored challenges.
Jeanette Smith, support services manager, First GBRf, comments: “I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all staff, family and friends of GBRf who got involved in either participating or attending events through 2009 to raise funds for Help For Heroes.
“We recently presented the total amount raised of £21,024.68 to Sarah Walker from Help For Heroes at our Annual Conference, which was a fantastic achievement so a very well done to all involved.”
