Keyline wins FORS Gold standard

The Gold standard of the Freight Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) has been awarded to Keyline for its safety, efficiency and environmental responsibility.

Part of the Travis Perkins Group, Keyline is the only heavy building materials provider to the rail industry to achieve this award. Keyline’s fleet operation delivers to Crossrail, TfL and Network Rail.

FORS is a TfL initiative to improve freight distribution for improved sustainability, reduced emissions and vehicle incidents and high levels of health & safety.

Keyline’s vehicle tracking anti-idling campaign has achieved three-year savings of 2.4 million kg of CO2 and over 3% reduction in fuel useage.

Glen Davies, freight development manager for FORS, said: “Our aim is to raise standards by educating and encouraging fleet businesses to follow best practice, rather than focusing purely on keeping within the law.

“Travis Perkins Group has demonstrated its commitment to becoming safer, greener and more efficient across its business, so this achievement is not only well deserved but also a leading example to other organisations operating within London.”

Richard Wade, rail sector manager at Keyline said: “Earlier this year we became the first building materials provider to achieve full Crossrail compliance for new health and safety regulations, and this latest award further recognises the high standards we are achieving across our fleet operation.”
