New look for Giffen Group

Specialist electrical services contractor, Giffen Group, has recently introduced an evolved brand identity. In an industry that has seen significant change Giffen Group is one of the longest established businesses with origins dating back to 1909. It is recognised as one of the UK’s leading electrical and building services contractors, with particular specialisation within the rail and underground markets.

The Group has four divisions: Rail, Underground, Switchgear and Electrical & Mechanical. Each division falls under the Giffen Group brand name, with its own distinctive colour scheme.

Marketing consultancy Conical was appointed to lead the brand evolution project. The new identity will be progressively rolled out across company literature, web and ongoing communications material.

Commenting on the need for a new identity, Giffen Group Chairman, Jo Giffen, explained, “From our initial origins, as a family business, we have grown into a multi-disciplined company which has been involved in delivering some of the biggest infrastructure projects in the UK.

“We have a strong cultural emphasis on safety and quality which is a pre-requisite in the sectors in which we operate. Our old identity did not do our business justice; however, our new logo is distinctive, easily recognisable and has already been widely supported by our employees and stakeholders”.
