Tactile paving headaches? Not anymore

Have you ever considered installing tactile pavers to rail platforms and stations?

The procedure can be impractical with major issues relating to station disruption, product transportation, manual handling and excessive noise pollution from surface excavation. Due to the absence of tactile paving you can now see why 13,000 accidents a year were recorded at railway stations and platforms nationwide. Furthermore many tactile systems are impossible to install on some platform construction types.

You may ask - how can station operators comply with stringent Disability Discrimination Act guidelines? The answer is V RAIL.

Visul Systems have developed a high quality surface mounted paving system which fulfils stringent DDA and rail industry requirements. V RAIL has significant benefits including:
• no station disruption
• no requirement for surface excavation
• will 100% adhere to any clean sound surface
• lightweight (1.5kg)
• extremely tough and durable.

Also consider the system is environmentally friendly using recycled products and is used/ approved by service providers nationwide.

Platform closures are not required as Universal Sealants (UK) Limited, Visul’s specialist rail contracting arm, typically install over 60 linear metres per overnight possession (3-4 hours).

In application, the permanently flexible tiles and colour matched permanently flexible bonding material reduce expansion stresses, can also be used as a levelling compound and thus guarantee a permanent bond on even the most challenging surfaces.

When it comes rail station works, V RAIL is one product in an ever expanding range of specialist rail refurbishment and DDA solutions by Visul Systems.
