The impact of reforms on agenda for freight conference

The 20th annual Rail Freight Group (RFG) conference will discuss the impact of rail reforms on freight, as well as the opportunities for growth and expansion.

Key issues include the capacity for new infrastructure, HS2’s effect on freight and how customer expectations for freight are changing, following the introduction of carbon credits.

Held in central London on May 29, the conference will bring together operators, supply chain, the DfT, engineers and transportation experts.

Confirmed speakers include Lord Berkeley, chair of the RFG and a member of the RTM editorial board; Anna Walker, chair of the ORR; and Tim Robinson, director of freight at Network Rail.

RTM will be attending and full coverage will be provided in the June/July issue of Rail Technology Magazine.
