£4bn deal up for grabs as Network Rail looks for civils work in west and Wales
Network Rail is on the lookout for contractors to work on infrastructure in the west of England and Wales as part of a framework deal worth up to £4bn.
Issuing the tender yesterday, the CP6 framework will look to contract work to cover buildings and civil engineering with provision for signalling, power, and communications works.
The framework is split into two lots, Western and Wales, with the Western lot split into two sub-lots based on value. Lot 1 is for works from £4m to £30m, whilst Lot 2 is worth up to £4m.
The Wales lot is split into four sub-lots, meaning there will be six in total. The four sub-lots include civils, metallic structures, signalling & power, and communications and geotechnical.
The framework will run for eight years in total, with a three-year initial period and up to five one-year extensions.
