Eurostar hit by severe delays
Passengers on Eurostar services have faced severe delays due to sagging power cables near the high-speed line in France yesterday, which forced trains onto alternate slower lines.
Four trains were cancelled this morning due to the fault, but services are now returning to normal.
Some passengers had been delayed for up to nine hours, and complained of a lack of information from train crews.
Eurostar blamed EDF for the fault, as it owns the overhead power cable, and said it was very sorry for the inconvenience caused to passengers.
