Roxtec sealing system for railway

Rolling stock, car bodies, shelters and trackside equipment. Whatever your applications, Roxtec has the right sealing solutions for openings with cables, pipes and hoses, all based on the versatile Multidiameter technology which allows a perfect seal to a wide variety of dimensions. This means high safety for equipment combined with easy handling during installation and future maintenance.

A Roxtec transit typically consists of a frame and its sealing components. The frame is installed onto the construction or partition, over the opening which is to be sealed. Cables or pipes are routed through the opening and through the frame. Roxtec multidiameter sealing modules are then adapted to the various cable and pipe diameters and inserted around them inside the frame. The frame is tightened, creating an intrusion proof seal. Existing Roxtec transits can easily be reopened at a later stage for cable or pipe additions and reconfigurations.

Multidiameter™ technology
Multidiameter technology adds a unique flexibility to Roxtec sealing systems. Thanks to the adaptable multi-layer technique, individual Roxtec seals can handle cables or pipes of different diameters simply by removing layers from the centre. Because the Multidiameter also handles local variations of diameter on a cable or pipe, Roxtec will always fit to make a safe system.

Operational reliability
A typical benefit of a Roxtec transit is that it protects against various kinds of hazards such as fire, vibrations, pull out forces, shock waves and noise, as well as against water, dust and rodents. In addition, EMC versions of the Roxtec transits are available to prevent electromagnetic disturbances from interfering with equipment.
