Railtex 2013 announces keynote speaker
Network Rail chairman professor Richard Parry-Jones CBE has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at Railtex 2013.
It will take place on the second day of the major rail infrastructure show at London’s Earls Court.
Professor Parry-Jones, who was appointed to his role in March, has extensive experience in the engineering sector, particularly the automotive sector.
He said: “I am keenly anticipating the opportunity to speak at Railtex 2013. The full support of our supply chain is vital in enabling our delivery of the better railway that is key to Britain’s future.
“Our relationship with our suppliers is improving all the time and, at Railtex, I am looking forward to exploring the contribution the industry as a whole can make to helping us deliver our plans for the rest of this decade and beyond, and how we can work together to harness the opportunities that further technological innovation can bring to what is a vital national industry.”
Exhibition manager Heidi Cotsworth commented: “We are delighted that Professor Parry-Jones has agreed to speak during Railtex.
“Network Rail’s projects and programmes are crucial to the supply industry, especially so given current levels of investment in rail. I’m sure he will provide his audience with valuable insights into the company’s future direction and plans.”
The show, from April 30 to May, will be the eleventh Railtex. The April/May 2013 edition of RTM will contain a full and comprehensive guide to the show. Come and visit the RTM team on stand B41.
