Transport Committee takes evidence on HLOS
The Transport Committee is taking oral evidence today in relation to its Rail 2020 inquiry into reform of the railways.
The session will focus on freight, franchising, reactions to the HLOS and opportunities to generate income from stations.
The HLOS set out the Government’s priorities for rail investment and a list of projects to be undertaken between 2014-19.
Witnesses include Maggie Simpson, policy manager of the Rail Freight Group, Christopher Snelling, head of supply chain policy at the Freight Transport Association, Michael Roberts, chief executive officer at the Association of Train Operating Companies and Jeremy Candfield, director general of the Rail Industry Alliance.
