Hatfield train services to be restarted

Services are set to resume on the Hatfield & Stainforth line from Monday, Network Rail has confirmed.

A landslip of a colliery spoil heap next to the tracks rendered the railway unusable for nearly six months. Engineers had to wait for the material to stop moving before it could be cleared, and only then could set about repairing the track.

First TransPennine Express will recommence its full service from the 8th.
