TCM wins big light rail contract
TCM has been awarded the contract to eradicate invasive species on the new £600m Edinburgh tram network by tie Limited.
Edinburgh’s tram network will be delivered in phases although only approval for phase 1a has been obtained so far. Initial work started in June 2007 and a programme is in place to complete the work over a 3 year period.
The invasive species that TCM will be treating include Japanese knotweed, giant hogweed and Himalayan balsam. TCM will be using its own unique HITTM methodology in the treatment of some of these species.
TCM successfully satisfied the Scottish environmental agencies that they could operate safely without disturbing the badgers and otters currently present along the proposed route.
TCM delivers a wide range of off-track services to the railway industry. The company prides itself on effective working and on-time, value for money project management born out of 5 years experience in operations commissioned by Network Rail.
