Rail is rising
The high-speed rail debate has probably been one of the
best things to happen to the rail industry in a very long time. This debate has sparked the media’s imagination over what the country could achieve if it had the infrastructure to provide a high speed service.
There is now pressure on the government to act and this
can only be good for rail jobs in the UK.
Another story which caught my eye, was that of two children in Wales who are campaigning to have rail services increased to their area.
This shows that the public’s awareness is growing, especially after the plethora of stories around extending
rail’s reach to other communities.
This growth in awareness is fantastic news for railway
jobs, because as the demand for rail grows so will rail vacancies.
More jobs in rail means more tax going into the economy, which is just what the UK needs right now to lift us fully out of recession.
