Pennant flies the manuals and training flag in Japan
Pennant International Group (Pennant) is currently completing a high-profile contract with Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) in Japan.
Under the terms of the contract, Pennant placed a representative on-site in Japan throughout the initial production phase of the manuals and training materials (circa 15 months) to assist with a seamless transfer of data.
Having considered the various options for the safe transfer of large amounts of data, Pennant provided KHI with access to an SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) site. This not only allowed easy supply of engineering data in a secure environment, but provided a convenient method for uploading completed documents for technical approval.
Pennant also developed a Training Programme comprising six courses with associated Training Courseware for Operator and Maintenance courses, delivered in Japan and Taiwan. Each training course was delivered by Pennant's Trainer in English. In order to reduce the risk of misunderstanding, Pennant worked closely with a local company to provide a native translator at all times during the training. This ensured that all questions could be fully understood, and answered correctly.
The contract with Kawasaki will further enhance Pennant’s glowing reputation, which has been developed through productive relationships with a host of leading companies, including ALSTOM, Bombardier, Siemens and the London Underground. Pennant has recently completed training DVDs for Network Rail covering infrastructure renewal.
