ROBEL completes Deutsche Bahn AG contract
ROBEL Bahnbaumaschinen GmbH has handed over two track vehicles of type 54.22 in the completion of a large order by German rail network, Deutsche Bahn AG delivered between August 2004 and February 2006. The contract was for 26 vehicles of type 54.22 and one vehicle of type 54.24. The 54.24 has two synchronised engine gearbox units and this is able to handle large trailer loads without any problems.
As well as the basic equipment, the trains have different additional equipment depending on their area of use. Such equipment includes a loading crane with a wood and sleeper grab, various clamshell buckets or an additional crane driver’s cabin. Vehicles are also fitted with a soot particle filter which contributes to the protection of the environment.
