Invensys Rail joins WCML power supply upgrade

Invensys Rail has been awarded a contract by ABB in support of Network Rail’s £115m Power Supply Upgrade on the West Coast Main Line.

The contract covers Phase 3B of the overall project and includes the design, supply and factory testing of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) remote terminal units for 11 of the enhancement project’s new containerized traction substations.

Work on the SCADA element of the overall Power Supply Upgrade Project is already underway and is scheduled for completion in December 2014.
