TCR Midlands hosted in Birmingham today
Industry leaders within rail in the Midlands will be present as TransCityRail hosts its Midlands event at the Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham today.
The event features a conference and exhibition throughout the day, followed by a black-tie networking dinner featuring a keynote speaker and engaging panel discussion.
Top decision-makers from across the rail industry in the Midlands have gathered to network, collaborate and create unique opportunities. In the exhibition, a wide range of products and services are being showcased.
The Midlands has seen a clear plan for investment. Strong economic growth in the region will also see an increase in demand for rail, generating further investment opportunities.
Many of the key figures responsible for the designing, building and operating of the Midlands’ rail industry will be present at TCR Midlands, as organisations and individuals look to collaborate and learn from one another to provide the services the region’s investment demands.
A variety of high-profile speakers will be sharing their thoughts during the conference, highlighting potential opportunities in the supply chain.
These speakers include Maria Machancoses, director at Midlands Connect, and the director of the Midland Metro Alliance, Alejandro Moreno.
Also attending the exclusive event will be Chris Rayner, the director of infrastructure at HS2, and operations director of digital railways at Siemens, Mark Ferrer.
Dominic Booth, managing director at Abellio, will also be speaking at the conference and David Ollerhead, who leads Network Rail’s Open for Business programme to boost investment in the UK’s rail network, will also be in attendance.
Other Midlands rail leaders at the event include Elaine Clark, chief executive of Rail Forum Midlands, and the director of the West Midlands Rail Executive and director of rail at Transport for West Midlands, Malcolm Holmes.
