Rail Forum Midlands launch virtual Infra Talk event

Rail Forum Midlands (RFM) held their virtual Infra Talk networking event yesterday (21 Jan) which involved 8 floors of networking space, 21 Tier 1 suppliers and 390 attendees.

RFM is the only regional focused rail trade organisation in the UK, supporting the nationally and internationally vital rail supply chain cluster across the Midlands.

The event followed a new format with a series of tables hosted by tier 1 suppliers, delegates move around the event freely, and speak directly with procurement, commercial and project representatives for 16 major companies as well as end clients including Network Rail, HS2, Balfour Beatty Rail Services, Alstom, Siemens, BAM Nuttall and many more.

Elaine Clark, CEO of RFM said: “We are delighted with the response from tier 1’s to Infra Talk. This networking event steps firmly away from conferences and webinars and offers companies from across the supply chain, including SMEs, unrivalled access to tier 1 representatives from procurement, commercial and project teams. We are also incredibly grateful to Quinn Infrastructure for their sponsorship of this exciting new event”.

Cat Appleby, Membership Manager for RFM said: “With InfraTalk2 and other events already in planning to replicate this exciting and brand-new approach to virtual networking, we are very excited with what 2021 will bring for our members and the wider industry.  It’s a watch this space for key dates and event launches.”
