Trial launched in Spain aimed at reducing train noise

CAF MiiRA, The CAF owned wheel-axle manufacturer, has announced announce a strategic collaboration with Euskotren, the Basque rail operator to test new wheel soundproofing systems on its train fleet.

It will monitor the noise generated as it looks to significantly reduce the sound with the new systems.

"This strategic collaboration with Euskotren provides us with an opportunity to combine our capabilities and knowledge to develop advanced solutions that improve the passenger travel experience and reduce environmental impact."

It is expected that the collaboration between CAF MiiRA and Euskotren will not be limited to just this specific initiative, but will help develop a long-term alliance between the two companies. The implementation of the wheel sound-proofing system is seen as a significant milestone in the joint commitment between the two companies.

Euskotren has an established reputation as a rail operator in the Basque region and has a also developed a reputation for implementing innovative systems and improving rail transportation throughout the region.
