Rail directors asked to judge Investors in People Awards

The Investors in People Awards on 23 June at the London Landmark Hotel will honour the country’s top workplaces, best bosses and highest achievers.

Three UK rail industry directors have been asked to join the judging panel: Roy C Rowlands, business development director at Rail Technology Magazine and leading government publication Public Sector Executive; Dr Francis Paonessa, who is leaving Bombardier at Derby to head up Network Rail Infrastructure Projects; and Crossrail’s director of talent and resources, Valerie Todd.

Rowlands (pictured above) said: “I am delighted to have been asked to join the judging panel of this inaugural event. It’s very encouraging to see that so many representatives from the UK rail industry have been asked to join the judging panel and should be seen as a real vote of confidence for the sector.”

As well as judging the awards, Rowlands has also been asked to present the award in the ‘Excellence in the Public Sector’ category.

Investors in People is owned by the UK government and managed by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES).
