Ticket purchasing technology for SWT mobile website
Passengers on South West Trains will now be able to buy train tickets on their mobile phones via the operator’s updated mobile website.
Tickets can be bought on the move and collected from stations across the south ofEngland. Additionally, a journey check allows passengers personalised access to real time service updates to keep up to date with any disruption.
A new GPS service finds the nearest station and the website offers faster and clearer access to journey information.
Maggie Banasiak, marketing manager for the South West Trains and Network Rail alliance, said: “The public are increasingly using mobile devices to plan their busy lives and our new look mobile booking engine is packed with a raft of new functions that enhance ticketing and customer information and make it even easier for our passengers to buy tickets while they are on the go.”
