Crossrail’s Terry Morgan joins UKRIA judging panel
The judging panel has now been announced for the upcoming UK Rail Industry Awards (UKRIA), with Crossrail chairman Terry Morgan the latest addition.
The UKRIA judges are:
- Ian Prosser, chief inspector of railways, ORR
- George McInulty, programme director of infrastructure, Transport for London
- Amanda White, senior route engineer, HS2
- Philippa Oldham, head of transport and manufacturing, Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE)
- Ben Ackroyd, engineering director, c2c
- Gil Howarth, chief executive, NSARE
- Fiona Tordoff, chief executive, Institution of Railway Operators (IRO)
- Simon Iwnicki, professor of railway engineering, University of Huddersfield
- Guy Wilmshurst-Smith, head of professional development and training, Network Rail
- Martyn Chymera, chairman & founding member, Young Railway Professionals (YRP)
- Terry Morgan, chairman, Crossrail.
The awards will be held on February 20, 2014, and aim to celebrate organisations making a significant contribution to the efficiency and effectiveness of the UK railway.
UKRIA is donating 20% of proceeds to the UK Rail Industry Training Trust (UKRITT), Rail Technology Magazine’s new charity, to help encourage and support the next generation into a career in rail.
