Colossal rail event continues to break records

Category sponsorships for UKRIA 2018 are selling quick following last week’s big announcement of comedian and actor Rufus Hound as host.

This year’s event is headlined by HS2 chief executive Mark Thurston, who was revealed as keynote speaker last month, with 2017’s keynote Sir Peter Hendy joining a judging panel of massive names.

Sir Peter will be joined by Shamit Gaiger, director of strategy at the National Skills Academy for Rail, and Martin Brennan, head of European Research for FutureRailway at RSSB, as well as Adeline Ginn, founder of diversity movement Women in Rail, alongside the University of Birmingham’s director of the International Railway Academy Anson Jack and lots more key figures.

Award categories this year include best apprenticeship development scheme, design innovation, and electrification, with more prizes for operator of the year and subcontractor of the year, also up for grabs.

The shortlist for the awards is out now and can be available to view here.

Now that most of the details of this year’s Casino Royale themed event are out, and with more than 1,200 confirmed to attend, time is short to get involved and reserve tables or book sponsorship.

If you would like to attend the big event simply contact the team on 0161 833 6320, drop us an email or click here to submit your enquiry.
