Arriva Group Appoints Chris Hardy as Group Business Development Director to Drive European Growth

Arriva Group has announced the appointment of Chris Hardy as Group Business Development Director.  He starts with the company today!

Chris brings with him 11 years of experience from Mobico (formerly National Express Plc), where he served as Managing Director of the Coach Division and previously as Group Commercial Director. His extensive background in the transport sector will be invaluable as Arriva aims to expand its presence across Europe.

Mike Cooper, Arriva Group CEO said:

“This is an important appointment for the execution of our strategy and I’m looking forward to welcoming Chris to the leadership team."

"We will benefit from the wealth of experience he brings with him to Arriva as we look to grow our business and consolidate our position as one of Europe’s leading passenger transport companies.  We have a strong ambition for this company and Chris will be an instrumental addition to the management board at a critical point in our journey”.

Before his tenure at Mobico, Chris worked at KPMG, where he developed a strong foundation in corporate finance. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Biochemistry from Oxford University and has a proven track record in international transport market development and business leadership.

Chris’s appointment follows Arriva’s acquisition by I Squared Capital, a leading global infrastructure investment manager. Arriva is committed to playing a vital role in society by connecting communities, facilitating economic growth, and reducing carbon emissions and congestion. The company aims to collaborate with transport authorities across Europe to promote increased usage and advance fleet decarbonisation efforts.
