AtkinsRéalis has strengthened its long-standing relationship with Transport for London (TfL) after being appointed to six of the seven lots available under the organisation's new Professional Services Framework 3 (PSF3).
The three-year framework, with an option for a one-year extension, will play a central role in supporting TfL's future investment and renewal programmes across London's transport network, covering rail, bus and highway infrastructure projects.
As one of the most widely appointed suppliers on the framework, AtkinsRéalis will deliver expertise across six key service areas:
- Project, programme and portfolio management
- Programme office and project controls
- Planning and scheduling
- Procurement and commercial management
- Risk and opportunity management
- Quantity surveying and estimating
The appointment positions AtkinsRéalis at the heart of some of the capital's most significant transport projects as TfL continues to expand and modernise its network to meet growing demand.

The latest appointment builds on more than two decades of collaboration between AtkinsRéalis and TfL, during which the engineering consultancy has supported several major projects across London's transport network.
Under previous framework agreements, the company provided estimating and commercial support for the £1.5 billion programme introducing the next generation of Piccadilly line trains. It also delivered commercial services for the programme replacing the Docklands Light Railway's fleet with 54 new trains.
AtkinsRéalis has also contributed to the Four Lines Modernisation programme, supporting major signalling upgrades across the Circle, District, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines. The business played a significant role in the delivery of the Elizabeth Line, now operated by TfL.
More recently, the company has been supporting the proposed DLR extension to Beckton Riverside and Thamesmead, a scheme expected to unlock thousands of new homes and jobs. It also delivered concept and detailed design work for the new entrance at Battersea Power Station Underground station, which opened in late 2025.
PSF3 replaces TfL's previous professional services framework and will serve as the organisation's primary route for accessing external programme, project and commercial expertise over the coming years.
