MacRail lead the market with innovative software solutions

MacRail Systems bring a unique and vastly experienced site access control offering to the industry. What started off over 20 years ago as a person on-site with an excel spreadsheet, we have since moved with the times and developed market leading software solutions used across the United Kingdom to support the infrastructure.

We put safety first and it’s impossible to put a number on the number of lives we have saved, or accidents avoided, by ensuring compliance over production.

Our Site Access Control and Worksite Management solution has been used on products such as Werrington Grade Separation, Kings Cross to the more recent TransPennie Route upgrade. All of which had the confidence that their sites were run above and beyond the NWR standards.

Our people come highly trained, supported by an industry known system and our 24/7 Control Room. Back in the day using an in-house office worker to manage the site access was acceptable, but as times are changing, the need for 3rd party Site Access Controller’s is becoming more apparent. The industry is being challenged to become safer, as everyone has the right to get home safe every day, and a third-party independent provider starts that vision from the moment someone steps on site.

We will ensure those on site are supposed to be there, come equipped with valid competencies, induction and are equipped with full mandatory PPE, while also managing everyone’s working and door to door hours. Everything we do is logged in MacRail system with a full audit trail, giving visibility to Project Management and Senior Stakeholders live as it happens, wherever they are, via our cloud-based platform.

MacRail

Being a market leader, we are not one to rest on our laurels, we are constantly evolving and innovating. In recent times we have brought to market Supply Chain league tables, equipment allocation to reduce lost/stolen tools and automated reports to ensure you have all the information you need, without having to go looking for it. We also have the recently developed App and Facial recognition system designed to speed up the signing in process while also increasing safety, by allowing the individuals to watch/read site specific safety videos and documents prior to stepping on site.

As we continue our journey to be #MoreThanSiteAccess, our mission is to provide the safest and greenest working environment, protecting those of today and tomorrow. Gone are the days where the client needs worry about site access, our aim is for them to concentrate on what’s happening trackside, while we take care of the rest.

Our services consist of:

Fatigue Management: Fatigue 360 is our fatigue management and rostering tool, designed to give you live scores as you plan your project. When used in conjunction with our site access element, this feeds the actuals back into the fatigue system, giving you a true 360 of planned versus actuals.

Site Access Control: Either a dedicated on-site controller or a cost effective 24/7 Control Room for smaller remote sites, using our in-house Worksite Management system.

MacRail System: Live Competency, Induction, PPE, Exceedance and Project reporting management tool. Allows you to stay in control with what’s happening at site access, including keeping an eye on costs with our equipment allocation register.

Facial Recognition and App: Designed to speed up the point of sign in and increase safety, integrated with our Worksite Management System. Services can come stand alone or supported by our Site Access solutions.

One Stop Shop: Bringing everything you need at site access under one roof, one point of contact, all supported by a 24/7 Control room. Everything you need from SIA security (guards, CCTV and dogs), mobile welfare, on site communications, signage and much more.
