Siemens Mobility has released its 2025 Social Value Report, marking a year of significant contributions to communities across the UK. The report underscores the company’s commitment to education, employment, wellbeing, environmental stewardship, and responsible procurement—all driven by its “from Britain, for Britain” ethos in building and maintaining the nation’s railways.
Rob Morris, Joint CEO for Siemens Mobility UK & Ireland, said:
“Our award-winning approach to creating a positive impact for local communities, the natural environment, our customers, employees, and wider society remains at the heart of our business – not simply as a deliverable, but as a fundamental demonstration of our values and how we strive to transform mobility for everyone.”
The report details initiatives delivered during the 2025 financial year, illustrating how Siemens Mobility embeds social value into operations, projects, and partnerships. Key highlights include:
- Education & Skills: Collaborating with Primary Engineer in Goole to give pupils hands-on experience with engineering and rail technology.
- Employment & Inclusion: Partnering with DFN Project SEARCH to support five interns with learning disabilities through a year-long workplace programme, helping them build confidence and independence.
- Community Wellbeing: Employees volunteered at the Riverside Veterans Retreat in the Brecon Beacons, improving facilities at a centre that supports veterans with PTSD, local children, and community groups through outdoor activities and wellbeing programmes.

Lisa Macdonald, Group Director at the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group, praised the impact:
“Siemens Mobility has created an inclusive environment where interns can develop and thrive, enabling them to gain valuable personal and employability skills. This is a true success of the Project SEARCH programme and how it can transform the lives of those with learning disabilities and autism spectrum conditions.”
Looking ahead, Siemens Mobility is reinforcing its UK presence with a £100 million investment in a new Rail Technology Centre in Chippenham, scheduled to open in 2026.
