Rail technology company Raildiary has rebranded as Gather. Under the new name, the technology company, which provides data for companies within the rail industry to help companies boost productivity and efficiency will branch out to other business sectors.
It is hoped that the rebrand will allow Gather to establish itself as the software provider of choice for capturing data in multiple different sectors, including rail, highways, utilities, renewable energy and aviation.
William Doyle, CEO of the Manchester-based company, said the name-change signified a profound shift in the industry’s approach to data management.
“We have a strong track record of delivering cost-effective and time-saving data management for the benefit of companies connected to the rail industry and are beginning to replicate them with regard to infrastructure projects in other business sectors.
“Our software’s adaptability and effectiveness lead to substantial productivity and efficiency gains. This shift is not just a rebranding; it is an industry-wide advancement that promises to redefine data capture and analysis to accelerate sustainable construction.”
Raildiary has had significant success within the rail industry since its formation. It has worked with Network Rail on its Birmingham New Street station works as well as with Balfour Beatty on the huge Core Valley Enhancements programme in South Wales.
Outside of rail, Raildiary has also worked on some of the biggest utilities projects in Europe, including the Thames Tideway and the Gatwick Airport Station upgrade.
“With the benefit of that experience, we decided that the time was right to take the strategic step towards revolutionising data capture in other infrastructure projects, benefitting both local businesses and the broader industry,” Doyle added.
The change in name and rebrand will change immediately, the company confirmed.
