New appointments for Network Rail asset management

Network Rail has appointed five new directors to its asset management services, a new structure which goes live on August 22.

The asset management team is intended to be more customer focused. A new role of technical director has also been added to work closely with the group strategy and technical services teams.

The new appointments are;

John Halsall, technical services director

James Dean, route services director

Ben Edwards, strategic services director

Steve Yianni, technical director

Edgar Goddard, energy services director

Goddard will join Network Rail on July 31 from the National Grid, where he is currently head of transmission services.

The new directors will join Jerry England (pictured), the group asset management director, and existing directors Patrick Bossert, asset information; Andy Hudson, NR telecoms; and James Collinson, NCB (network certification body).
