Network Rail should be incentivised for better use and improving of capacity - ORR
Network Rail should be incentivised for improving and making better use of capacity in addition to punctuality, according to Office of Rail Regulation (ORR) chief executive Richard Price.
The head of the ORR suggested the change in a presentation at the Future of Rail Conference in London yesterday.
He also said that according to studies by the Department for Transport and ORR, by the end of CP5 Network Rail will have “closed the efficiency gap with the best in Europe”.
The full story, and more coverage from the Future of Rail Conference 2014, will be in the next issue of RTM.
